The “I Sileni” flute quartet is an ensemble composed of students from the “L. Canepa” Conservatory of Music in Sassari. The members are enrolled in the First and Second Level Academic Diploma courses in Flute, under the guidance of Professor Tony Chessa, as well as in the Second Level Academic Diploma course in Chamber Music.
The group was formed in 2017 during the “Musica e Natura” summer flute ensemble courses in Porto Torres, taught by Maestro Antonio Amenduni and organised by the association “Musicando Insieme”. I Sileni have already performed in numerous concerts and competitions, both as soloists and as members of various chamber music ensembles. They have attended masterclasses with renowned international flautists and they regularly take part in concert seasons, festivals and events organised by the Conservatory of Sassari and various regional cultural associations.
