Pegah Moshir Pour (Tehran, 1990) moved to Italy with her family at the age of nine. A consultant and activist for human and digital rights, she is now one of the most authoritative voices in both institutional and media circles advocating for civil rights and women’s empowerment. She writes about Iran for various newspapers, including la Repubblica. Through her advocacy and educational work, she has become a spokesperson for those fighting for a different future in Iran and other countries, while also promoting the value of diversity and the experience of Third Culture Kids in Italy. For her commitment, she has received high praise from the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella. Following the widespread critical and public success of her debut novel, La notte sopra Teheran (Garzanti, 2024), she has returned to bookstores with La casa dimenticata (Garzanti, 2026), a novel that highlights how a country’s true wealth lies in the people who fight for its future.
