Yaryna Grusha is a Ukrainian writer, translator, and publicist naturalized as an Italian citizen. She teaches Ukrainian Language and Literature at the University of Milan. Together with her colleague Alessandro Achilli, she edited and co-translated the first anthology of Ukrainian poetry in Italian, Poeti d’Ucraina, published by Mondadori in 2022. In 2023, she edited the first Ukrainian literary guide in Italian, Dimensione Kyiv, for Rizzoli. Along with a group of friends, she edited the manuscript of Ukrainian writer Victoria Amelina, who was killed in the Kramatorsk strike. The book, Guardando le donne guardare la guerra, was published in Italy by Guanda (2025). Her debut novel, L’album blu, was published by Bompiani in 2026. Her works have appeared in Corriere della Sera, La Repubblica, Il Foglio Review, and Linkiesta.
