
Widad Tamimi
Journalist and writer
Widad Tamimi is a journalist and writer. The daughter of a Palestinian refugee who fled the 1967 Israeli occupation and a woman of Jewish heritage, she grew up in Milan, studied International Law in London, and has worked in refugee camps. Tamimi founded the IOIEN association, which is dedicated to creating scholarships for young people fleeing war zones, and she contributes to several publications both in Italy and abroad. She is the author of Il caffè delle donne (2012) and Le rose del vento. Storia di destini incrociati (2016). Her latest book is Dal fiume al mare (Feltrinelli, 2026).
