Maura and Andrea are philosophers and writers, founders of Tlon, a cultural project that encompasses festivals, events, a publishing house, two bookstores, and a dynamic program of both online and in-person educational divulgation. Through an approach that blends academic and popular culture, they explore the needs and meanings of contemporary life. They have built a large and active social media community engaged with cultural and social issues. They are the authors of numerous books. Among their most recent solo publications are L’algoritmo di Babele by Andrea Colamedici (with Simone Arcagni, Solferino) and Erotica dei sentimenti by Maura Gancitano (Einaudi). Maura is also the author of the award-winning Specchio delle mie brame (Einaudi) and a columnist for la Repubblica. The most recent book they co-wrote is Ma chi me lo fa fare? Come il lavoro ci ha illuso: la fine dell’incantesimo (HarperCollins 2023). They write the column “Prendila con filosofia” for Vanity Fair and collaborate with Radio24. They teach Prompt Thinking at IED in Rome; Andrea is also a lecturer in Social Media Theory at IULM University in Milan. They are the voices and creators of several podcasts, including Tlon – Il podcast, Meno per meno with Niccolò Fabi, Pensare Europeo with the European Parliament, and Scuola di Filosofie for Audible.
