Susanna Mattiangeli, born in Rome in 1971, is an author, translator, and comic book scriptwriter specializing in literature aimed at children and young adults. She has published with a number of renowned publishers including Lapis, Il Castoro, Topipittori, Vànvere, Mondadori, and Feltrinelli Kids. Her works have been translated into around twenty languages. Since 2019, she has contributed regularly to the magazine Internazionale Kids. In 2018, she received the Andersen Award for Best Writer. She was named Italian Children’s Laureate for the 2023–2024 term.
