
Micol Roubini
Artist and director
Artist and director, she works mainly with films, videos and installations. Her research focuses on the relationship between memory, orality, anthropization, on the elements of transition and conflict determined by the passage of time. In 2019, her first feature film, The way to the Mountains, was screened at the 41°Cinema du Réel, and won the Corso Salani prize at the 31st Trieste film festival. In 2022, she won the 11th edition of the Italian Council prize with the installation The Magic Mountain. The project in collaboration with Lo Schermo dell’arte, involved Talbot Rice Gallery, PAV Parco Arte Vivente, Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien, MMSU Rijeka, Fundación Cerezales Antonino y Cinia. The the film version of the project, made in 2025 won the award for film innovation at the Bellaria Film Festival.
