Graduated at Cagliari’s Conservatory of Music, Gisella Vacca is a versatile artist – a singer, theatre and movie actress, stage director, and writer. She has worked as an actress and singer-actress directed by, among others, Theodoros Terzopoulos, Guido de Monticelli, and Marco Gagliardo. She has starred in some films, including La destinazione (Piero Sanna) and Jimmi della collina (Enrico Pau). She has participated in several programs as a radio actress for Radio Rai and Radio Rai International, and has collaborated with Cagliari’s Lyrical Theatre as a narrator.

With Cenacolo di Ares, she has published the collections Sulla mia carne morbida – 21 foto-poesie (“On My Soft Flesh. 21 Photo-poems”) and La mia voce libera – cose che ho imparato sul canto e sulla vita (“My Free Voice. Things I Have Learned on Singing and Life”). She is the creator and performer of poetic and musical recitals that explore world songs from an educated perspective. She teaches Contemporary Singing and Musical Theatre at Cagliari’s Civic School of Music.
