Pierdomenico Baccalario was born in 1974 in Acqui Terme, Monferrato, where he grew up surrounded by the books. The library of his family house has more than 10,000 volumes. Both a writer and a journalist, his books have sold millions of copies all over the world and have been translated into more than 30 languages. Today, he is considered one of the most important authors for young adults. Among his recent books are Le Volpi del Deserto (Mondadori) and Gli Intrigue (Piemme), the latter written with his friend Alessandro Gatti.
