Museum of the Mediterranean Masks of Mamoiada

Mamu, the museum network of Mamoiada run by the Cooperative Viseras, includes the Museum of Mediterranean Masks, the Museum of Culture and Labor and the MATER- Museum of Archaeology and Territory. The Museum of Masks was founded with the intent of creating a place in which the cultural universe of Mamoiada, worldwide famous for its masks – Mamunthones and Issohadores – and the Mediterranean regions, with their Carnival Masks, can meet and reveal a mutual history and culture. Viseras pays particular attention to the didactic section of the museums, called MaMu KIDS, which has the purpose of leading, inside a reasoned path, to the discovery and the understanding of the cultural system, making the three museums a place of meeting and exchange in the community.
