Luigi Garlando

Luigi, ace reporter of the sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport, was born in Milan on May 5, 1962. He mainly writes about football. He has been writing books for children for years, such as: Per questo mi chiamo Giovanni (That is why my name is Giovanni), which is one of the most read and selected books in Italian schools. With Rizzoli, he also published Camilla che odiava la politica (Camilla who hated politics), L’estate che conobbi il Che (That summer that I knew Che),  which won the “Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi” Prize in 2017, Io e il Papu (Papu and I) and, in November 2018, Il mestiere più bello del mondo. Faccio il giornalista (The best job in the world. I am a journalist) . He is the author of the popular series Gol!, published by Piemme, such as Mio papà scrive la guerra (My dad writes the war) and Mister Napoleone. Recently, Quando l’estate ero io (When I was the summer) (Solferino) and Mosche, cavallette, scarafaggi e Premio Nobel (Flies, locusts, bugs and Nobel Prize) (Harper Collins) have been sent to the bookstores. He signed, together with Arrigo Sacchi, La coppa degli Immortali (The Immortals’ cup) (Baldini Castoldi).
