Giuseppe Civati was born in Monza, on August 4, 1975. Graduated in Philosophy, after obtaining his degree in Civiltà dell’Umanesimo e del Rinascimento (Humanism and Renaissance Civilisation) at the Istituto di Studi sul Rinascimento of Florence, he obtained a Doctorate degree in Philosophy, at the University of Milan, where he collaborated with the course of History of Philosophy. He also collaborated with the Universitat de Barcelona, with the Institute of Renaissance Studies. Member of Parliament and candidate for the National Secretary of the Democratic Party, he is the founder of Possibile, a party of which he was the secretary. He is the author of several books, such as Qualcuno ci giudicherà (Someone will judge us, Einaudi), Il trasformista (The evolutionist, Indiana), La condizione necessaria (The necessary condition, Imprimatur), 10 cose buone per l’Italia che la sinistra deve fare subito (10 good things the left wing has to do immediately for Italy, Laurana). In 2018 he founded People: a publishing house and communication agency, for which he published Liliana Segre. Il mare nero dell’indifferenza (Liliana Segre. The black sea of indifference), Seguendo Greta (Following Greta) and Il piano Langer (The Langer Plan).
