Francesco Chiacchio was born in Florence in 1981, where he now lives. His activities range from drawing to collage. He has illustrated books, CDs, posters and he has also drawn some comic strips. He created the images for the multimedia project X (Suite for Malcolm) in 2010, which was composed by the saxophonist Francesco Bearzatti for his Tinissima Quartet, and was performed in Europe and in the U.S.A. In 2013, the Gallery Il Ponte di Firenze (The Bridge of Florence) hosted the exhibition “Il segno come racconto” (The sign as a tale) with the help of the Gallery Tornabuoni: some works from it were exhibited during the 2013 Armory Show in New York City. He edited the graphic image of the XIV French festival “Jazz à Porquerolles” in 2015. He likes cultivating words, watering them with different signs, watching them grow from afar and picking them up in a drawing.
