Daria Bignardi

Born in Ferrara, she has lived in Milan for many years. In 1992, she became a professional journalist and collaborated with several newspapers: Panorama, Sette, LaStampa. She started working in television and radio, initially with Gad Lerner, then with Gianni Riotta. She edited the monthly magazine Donna by Hachette for two years. She wrote and presented the TV programme Le invasioni barbariche on La7 and then L’era glaciale on Rai Due channel. In 2008, she published her first novel Non vi lascerò orfani with Mondadori, which won the Rapallo Prize, the Elsa Morante Award for Narrative and the Città di Padova Prize. With Mondadori, she also published the novels Un karma pesante (2010), L’acustica perfetta (2012), L’amore che ti meriti (2014) and Santa degli impossibili (2015). Storia della mia ansia (Mondadori, 2018) is her last published work. She collaborates with several magazines, including Vanity Fair. Her books have been translated into various languages.
